SOY- THE KILLER BEAN (-reprise) is a director’s cut of earlier works concerning the brutal violence in the cultivation of soy beans in Brasil. Soy is the number one source for animal feed, especially for the intensive pig and poultry farms in the richer parts of the world. This hearth breaking story is based on a ‘suicide letter’ from some indigenous Guarani indians. Their desperate situation, trying to survive at gunpoint in the last remains of what used to be an endless forest, leads them to choose a collective death, begging the Brasilian gouvernment to send in an army to come and kill them. Meanwhile the soy farmers and their hired guns in Mato Grosso do Sul try to achieve the same…

Composed on Ennio Morricone’s music score of the famous Hollywood Western ‘Once Upon A Time in the West’, this film wants to express the idea that the Wild West did not end in North-America by the end of the 19th century. The New Frontier of the Wild West lies in Brasil…
